Overview

Wildwood is one of the signature brands from Forest River. They’ve spent a lot of time perfecting their designs, and the catalog is now bigger and better than ever! These travel trailers come in a range of sizes, with the smallest one measuring 26 feet, 11 inches and the largest one being 38 feet, 11 inches.

As one of the largest RV manufacturers in the industry, Forest River strives to uphold a certain level of quality in its builds. This is reflected in the Wildwood Trailer (among others). These trailers feature construction details like an aerodynamic front profile, slide-outs with triple seals, seamless holding tanks, and a Dicor PVC roof membrane.

These trailers are sleek, sturdy, and built to last. They also feature modern decorating styles inside. Each model has inviting, warm gray walls with lovely accents made from natural wood. Sleek appliances and artistic touches of black and silver round out the entire aesthetic.

“Nobody packs in quality and convenience like Wildwood. From the ground up, we make choices based on quality because we know that only the best components, design and engineering are what you expect.”

Noteworthy features and upgrades

The latest Wildwood lineup is packed with stellar amenities and features. Plus, customers will have the chance to add or change specific parts of their vehicle to better suit their lifestyle.

Some of the noteworthy basic features are fun, as well as functional. For instance, one of the baggage doors has dry-erase capabilities so you can write notes, make checklists, or even add fun doodles! There’s also a skylight over the shower so you can soak in the natural light while you wash up.

Other great features include:

  • A 7-way plug holder
  • Exterior speakers
  • 11 cubic-foot refrigerator
  • Chalkboards on the bottom of flip-up bunks
  • 3-burner cooktop
  • And much more!

In addition to the base features, every Wildwood Trailer comes with the “Best in Class” Package to provide a higher quality of life on the road.

If you want to customize or change things about your trailer, you’ll have that opportunity as well. There are a variety of options and upgrades available to customers. For instance, you can add a spare tire, an exterior shower, a second AC unit, or the entire Platinum Package.

New features

The base features for the Wildwood trailer are already impressive, but there are several new additions in store for the 2024 models. Some of these features are only available for select floor plans, but they’re exciting nonetheless.

The changes for 2024 include:

  • Upgraded slide-out fascia
  • Versa-Tilt bed
  • 60K tankless water heater
  • Upgraded shower head
  • 60×29 egress windows located on the slide-out sidewall & bedroom (Both sides)
  • Arched wall
  • Hidden pantry
  • Washer/dryer prep

These features will make your Wildwood Trailer more stylish, functional, and comfortable!

Imagine doing laundry in the comfort of your own RV, without seeking out a nearby laundromat or relying on run-down campground facilities. Cook delicious meals and store snacks in your hidden kitchen pantry. Enjoy nearly endless hot water at your campsite with the new tankless water heater.

Additional floor plans for 2024

There are 16 total floor plans under the Wildwood Trailer banner. Four of these are brand new for 2024, so you have a chance to get a completely unique floor plan that’s never been seen before. All of the models are worth a look (both new and old), but we want to cover the updates for the upcoming year.

Check out the details for the newest floor plans below!

22ERAS

  • Exterior length: 28 feet, 2 inches
  • Unladen vehicle weight: 6, 196 lbs.
  • Hitch weight: 685 lbs.

First up, we have a floor plan that’s on the smaller side. It still has plenty to offer, though, so don’t overlook it due to size alone. This one is split neatly in half, with the bedroom and bathroom at the front and the main living space at the back.

The bathroom spans the full width of the trailer and creates a layer of separation between the bedroom and living room. There’s also a single slide-out in the rear, which holds a two-person theater seat, a pantry, and an oversized refrigerator. An L-shaped kitchen hugs two of the rear walls and there’s even a bar with a couple of stools that can serve as an extra workspace.

28FKG

  • Exterior length: 32 feet, 2 inches
  • Unladen vehicle weight: 7,789 lbs.
  • Hitch weight: 1,080 lbs.

Now we’re moving on to a larger model! This one comes with two slideouts, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The layout is also flipped, with the bedroom and bathroom located at the rear of the vehicle. The kitchen here has plenty of counter space, as well as a connected dinette.

The bedroom is spacious, with help from a slide-out that contains the front half of the bed. It leads into the rear bathroom, which stretches across the entire width and has room for a shower, toilet, vanity, sink, linen closet, and recessed storage units. There’s even a shallow Versa garage at the very back of this trailer.

28VIEW

  • Exterior length: 32 feet, 3 inches
  • Unladen vehicle weight: 7,753 lbs.
  • Hitch weight: 1,065 lbs.

This next Wildwood Trailer is nicely streamlined, with dedicated areas for each part of the living space. The front part of the layout contains the main bedroom, as well as plenty of storage space. The bathroom sits just outside, which gives every occupant easy access to this room.

A long slide-out expands the space in the back half. It contains most of the kitchen appliances, as well as a hidden storage compartment and an entertainment center. A large kitchen island/dinette occupies the center of this space. The rear wall completes the design with a sectional sofa that loops into an inverted J-shape.

29VIEW

  • Exterior length: TBD
  • Unladen vehicle weight: TBD
  • Hitch weight: TBD

This floor plan is so new that we don’t even have all the details about its specs yet! But we do have the floor plan layout, and it’s worth talking about. The bedroom and bathroom design are similar to the 28VIEW, but the back half is completely different.

There’s a huge wraparound kitchen and dining space that forms a nearly complete square! This provides a huge amount of workspace and it’s utterly unique.

A large sectional sofa hugs the adjacent wall. It faces across from a slide-out which contains an entertainment center, as well as a bonus room that contains a flip-up bunk, a desk, and extra storage space. It’s a fantastic all-purpose trailer.

  1. Forest River is a horrible company to buy a camper for. We just bought a 2022 and have so many problems. It was so poorly put together that it had to go back to the factory to be repaired. When we received it back there are still a ton of issues. Our doors don’t close unless you slam them hard, harder then you should have to. Our hot water tank leaks, the laminate is peeling off our back bunk, or storage doors open during travel even thought they are locked. And it’s impossible to get any response from Forest River. Warning. Stay away from Forest River. Grand Design has been a lot more responsive and went above and beyond to fix our friends 2022 Camper. I wish I would have stayed away from Forest River.
