The Latest NHTSA RV Recalls For 2024 **Updated April 26, 2024**

Thousands of RVs have been affected by safety recalls issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Before you go spring camping, check the latest recall list for your RV. Here are a few that may be of particular interest to you:

Daimler Vans, LLC: 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles

Loose 12-volt ground connection—Ground connection may overheat and result in a loss of drive power.

Daimler Vans is recalling 99 Mercedes-Benz Spinter vehicles that may have a ground connection that wasn’t secured properly. This can result in the ground connection overheating and the vehicle losing drive power. Owner notification emails are expected to be mailed May 03, 2024.

What Owners of Affected Products Should Do

Keystone is recalling 10,874 RVs due to a faulty backlight circuit board in the cooktop range. It may fail and subsequently overheat. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 17, 2024.

What Owners of Affected Products Should Do

Owners of affected RVs should reach out to their dealers who can remove the LED backlights or else terminate the circuit for the red LED lights, free of charge. For more information, owners may contact Keystone customer service at (866) 425-4369. Keystone’s number for this recall is 24-452.

Forest River is recalling 4,480 RVs because the LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 27, 2024.

Unsealed cooktop may cause burner flames to invert.

Forest River is recalling 148 RVs because the panel that isolates the cooktop from the furnace was not properly sealed during manufacturing, which could result in an inverted cooktop flame. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 29, 2024.

Pin box may separate from vehicles, causing crash.

Forest River is recalling 100 RVs because the operator may utilize the rear towing hitch without locking the turning point fifth wheel hitch into the “Conventional Transport” position. Towing while in a different position can cause the upper front structure to break and the pin box to separate from the vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 22, 2024.

REV Recreation Group

  • 2022–2024 Fleetwood Discovery motorhome

Water pump harness fuse inadequately protected.

REV is recalling 79 motorhomes equipped with Remco 50-54 Rebel 4.0 GPM water pumps. The water pump harness was designed with inadequate fuse protection. Inadequate fuse protection may cause harness damage, increasing the risk of a fire. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 16, 2024.

Owners of affected motorhomes should reach out to their dealers, who will inspect and relocate the water pump circuit to a properly sized fuse as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact REV customer service at (800) 509-3417. REV’s number for this recall is 240416REV.

Faulty power steering pressure line may cause sudden loss of power steering

Jayco is recalling 1,719 motorhomes due to an inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit. This may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid that can affect steering. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 30, 2024.

What Owners of Affected Products Should Do

Owners should connect with their dealers. Dealers will replace the power steering pressure line and the hydro boost jumper line, free of charge. For more information, owners should contact Jayco customer service at (800) 283-8267.

Owners should reach out to their dealers who will replace the cooktop control panel, free of charge. For further information, owners may contact Cruiser customer service at (574) 825-5280, ext. 5220. Winnebago’s number for this recall is CAM0000035. This recall supersedes NHTSA recall 24V-054.

  • 2024 Minnie travel trailer

GFCI Outlet Wired Incorrectly.

Winnebago Towables is recalling 94 Access travel trailers due to possible incorrectly wired GFCI outlets which may cause the outlets to not be protected. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 13, 2024.

What Owners of Affected Products Should Do

Owners of affected RVs should contact their Winnebago dealer. Dealers will rewire the GFCI circuitry by adding a GFCI outlet upstream of the outlets that need protection, free of charge.
