The 2024 Model Z Fifth Wheels From Brinkley RV

Innovation is the driving force behind the RV industry. Although there are several large and well-established brands, new companies always have the chance to shake things up and break the mold. And Brinkley RV has done just that with the release of their 2024 Model Z fifth wheels!

This company is new to the scene. Last year they debuted a prototype fifth wheel, but now they’re ready to make it a reality. The Model Z lineup includes two finished floor plans, with a third on the way. As a newcomer to the RV world, they have to be extraordinary in order to stand out from the competition. But these new RVs are a promising start for this brand.

Brinkley RV has the potential to become a popular and well-known company. Although their catalog is currently limited, it seems likely that we’ll see many new and exciting releases from them in the near future. But for now, let’s dive into the new Model Z fifth wheels to see what they have to offer.

Model Z

Model Z fifth wheels were designed to stand out from the industry standard. These are mid-sized vehicles with larger-than-life luxury! The goal was to create a residential interior without any compromises or flaws. Most RVers know that you need to trade or sacrifice some features when you travel in a vehicle. But the Model Z aims to eliminate these drawbacks.

Each model is sleek and stylish, with windows and slide-outs that are completely flush with the rest of the vehicle. There are no protrusions here! The bedroom and bathroom ceilings are also 79.5 inches tall, which is higher than average.

Additionally, there’s plenty of storage space both inside and outside the vehicle. If you have bulky items or less-used gear, pack it in the massive pass-through storage space. Or, if you want to keep items inside so they’re readily accessible, take advantage of the shelves and closets. Many of these spaces can also be rearranged to suit your needs. Each fifth wheel can carry at least 2,500 lbs. of cargo, and the larger models can handle up to 3,000 lbs.

Brinkley RV also designed these vehicles with an innovative water tank system. They have a high carrying capacity, with each model capable of hauling 75 gallons of fresh water, 90 gallons of grey water, and 45 gallons of black water.

The gray tank is also interesting because (unlike many RV designs) the capacity is evenly split between the bathroom and kitchen. There’s a single, connected tank for both of these sources instead of two separate ones.

Noteworthy features

The storage space and gray tank designs are just the tip of the iceberg. Brinkley RV devoted plenty of care and craftsmanship to every aspect of these vehicles. They’re packed with high-end amenities and modern technology.

There’s no way to list all of the stellar features here, but a few of the highlights include:

  • Tire pressure monitoring system with wireless display
  • 17.5-inch custom wheels
  • Proprietary Brinkley CraftSenseâ„¢ wood trim construction
  • Dual motion sensor bed lights
  • High-performance Road Armorâ„¢ suspension equalizer system
  • LED under-coach ground lighting
  • Exterior speakers with Bluetooth & campside controls with Bluetooth
  • Heated & insulated rear storage compartment (with outlets and motion lighting)
  • Security tie-down for pets and property
  • 370-watt solar panel (with optional 740-watt upgrade)
  • Thermaflex® no kink, no tear heat ducts
  • 35K BTU furnace
  • Heated and enclosed dump valves
  • 20+ electrical outlets throughout the vehicle
  • And much, much more!

Every piece of these RVs has been carefully crafted and installed. The goal was to create a sleek automotive exterior and a comfortable residential-style interior.

Optional upgrades

Each Model Z fifth wheel comes with a huge host of pre-installed features. The list above only covers a fraction of the amenities and appliances you’ll have access to. But in addition to these benefits, customers also have the chance to add a few upgrades.

Almost every piece of tech will be included in the base package, so the options are more for personal preference rather than necessity. For instance, guests can choose between a king or queen-size bed with a nine-inch memory foam mattress. The smaller bed size allows for the addition of a pair of nightstands. The queen comes standard with the 2900 floor plan, but it’s an option for the 3100 as well.

On the other hand, both vehicles can be upgraded with dual-pane windows. These improve insulation and can be helpful additions for anyone who wants to travel in extreme climates. They also look just as sleek and stylish as the standard windows.

The final upgrade is a second air conditioner to replace the fan in the bedroom. This option gives you a bit of extra cooling power. It’s also a low-profile model, so it won’t interfere with the interior design.

Everything you need comes installed in these RVs, but it’s nice to know that there’s still an element of choice and flexibility. As Brinkley RV continues to refine its designs, it may offer additional upgrades in the future.

Floor plans

Two versions of the Model Z fifth wheel have been created so far. They will be available in 2024, and a third model has been announced but not released. Both of these options are mid-sized fifth wheels, but they have several distinct differences.

2900

  • Exterior length: 32 feet, 11 inches
  • Unladen vehicle weight: 11,764 lbs.
  • Hitch weight: 2,081 lbs.
  • Cargo carrying capacity: 2,500 lbs.

Despite being smaller, the 2900 floor plan boasts a spacious master bedroom situated at the front of the vehicle. It offers a queen-size bed flanked by nightstands and a slide-out wall housing a generous wardrobe and dresser.

In addition, there’s even more space inside the adjoining bathroom. This bathroom is completely private and features all the necessities, as well as a linen closet, storage space, and more.

The rest of the floor plan consists of a combined living room, kitchen, and dining room. Opposing slide-outs expand the space, making plenty of room for the center island, the expanding sofa bed, and the utensil drawer underneath the table.

3100

  • Exterior length: 34 feet, 11 inches
  • Unladen vehicle weight: 11,923 lbs.
  • Hitch weight: 2,142 lbs.
  • Cargo carrying capacity: 3,000 lbs.

The 3100 floor plan is slightly larger, plus it has a higher cargo carrying capacity. So, if you need extra space for your gear, this is the one to choose. The front bedroom here isn’t connected to the bathroom, but it has several intriguing features of its own!

For starters, the front wall contains a large wardrobe and space for a stacked washer and dryer. It also comes standard with a king-size bed, although this can be exchanged for a queen and a set of nightstands. The bathroom is located just outside of the bedroom, which makes it easy for every passenger to access.

Finally, the main living space is slightly larger in this floor plan. There’s more room for amenities like the residential kitchen appliances, the two-person theater seats, and the telescoping entertainment center with a fireplace.

3610 (Unreleased)

Finally, plans have been announced for a third floor plan. There are currently no firm details on a release date, but you can download the preview flyer here.

Judging by the initial design, this seems like it will be the largest fifth wheel that Brinkley RV has created. It includes a bonus room that can act as an office, a bedroom, or a storage space.

The current lineup for 2024 looks promising, and the 3610 proves that it will only get better from here. For more information on the Model Z fifth wheels, visit their website at brinkleyrv.com

  2. One thing I find interesting, is that since RV’s have been around for decades. They are still using the old drum brakes! It has become an option on many RVS, but in my opinion it should be on every RV sold. They are safer, function better and if the they were on every RV they would be just as cheap to install.
Given all of technically we have today, this would seem to be a no brainer.
