Loki Basecamp Introduces New Class A Motorhome
If you’re interested in the world of off-roading and boondocking, you might have heard of Loki Basecamp. This company specializes in creating high-quality truck campers; however, they’ve recently gone off the beaten path and created their first-ever Class A motorhome.
This format is very different compared to their usual models, but it incorporates the same technology and materials that made the originals so popular. Specifications
This motorhome was designed for sustainable and long-term use. The camper is built on the modified base of a Prevost X3 45 VIP, which was previously a type of vehicle that was used as a tour bus. It’s set up to run on solar power and has huge stores of water that can last for long periods of time. Each vehicle can generate 2,000 watts of solar power, which feeds into the 15,000-watt inverter and charger.
With the massive amount of space the floorplan offers, several passengers can comfortably live in this vehicle. As long as you top off the water and fuel from time to time, you’ve got a sustainable living space.

This motorhome was also built to survive harsh weather conditions. RV insulation is often a problem in the winter, but this vehicle will stay nice and warm all year round. It’s 4-season compatible and has R16 insulation.
A 50,000 BTU heater rounds out the equation, providing plenty of warmth whenever you need it. This heater is a hybrid of electric and diesel, and it can act as a water heater, floor warmer, and general A/C unit. It’s multipurpose and adaptable, which is perfect for RVers.
The Loki Basecamp XL Coach Series is large, but it hasn’t compromised any quality in the process. This unit is designed to withstand the pressures of long-term camping and adventuring with ease.
Floor plan
So far there is only one version of the Loki Basecamp XL Coach. Other brands in this family have more variety, but because this is new, there is only one main model at this point. However, if this vehicle lives up to the legacy, you can expect to see more of these motorhomes in the future!
The current floor plan can sleep a maximum of 8 adults, so it’s built to host large groups. The front end of this motorhome includes the driver’s cabin and a combination kitchen/living room. One wall hosts the kitchen setup, complete with a sink, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, and even a dishwasher. If you hate to wash dishes by hand, this will be a huge benefit. There is also a good amount of countertop space and plenty of cabinets.
A long L-shaped sofa sits across from the kitchen. At the bend, there’s a small table that’s perfect for meals on the couch or as a snack station. The longest part of the couch can be converted into a fold-out bed to increase the amount of sleeping space.
Large windows occupy the majority of the wall space in the living room and kitchen, so the cabin is filled with natural light. Recessed can lights supplement this feature.
Further down the hall, the coach has a pair of bunk beds. These are protected with mesh netting that prevents the occupants from falling out during the night. If you’re traveling with a smaller group, these beds and nets can also be used as extra storage space.
Across the hall from the bunks is the bathroom. This bathroom has a fairly minimalistic, spa-like design. Gray paneling on the walls and floors unifies the space. The bathroom has enough space for a toilet, sink, linen closet, set of drawers, and rainfall shower. It provides a decent amount of space for an RV bathroom.
A washer and dryer are also included in the section between the bathroom and bunk beds. This is a wonderful amenity for anyone who plans to camp for long periods of time.
Finally, we have the primary bedroom at the rear of the motorhome. This space includes a queen size bed, a wall-mounted TV, a closet, and a ton of overhead storage cabinets. There’s even storage space underneath the bed as well as a few outlets. Large windows are installed on either side of the bed, so you can let the sun stream in if you want.
This floor plan is ideal for large groups and families. There are lots of places to sleep as well as amenities like a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Everyone’s needs will be met in the same space, and you won’t have to stop at hotels to freshen up.
Amenities
The Loki Basecamp XL Coach Series is decked out with amenities. Some features are for comfort, while others are for utility. This motorhome is fairly plain in terms of decoration and style, but all the materials are high-quality.
The XL Coach Series maintains a natural look due to the heavy use of wood in the design. Every cabinet is made of bright wood, as is the table, bathroom countertop, door frames, and various furniture accents.
Like most Class A motorhomes, this model comes with a massive amount of storage, both inside the interior and underneath the floor. The exterior of this vehicle also has some noteworthy amenities. It has a huge retractable awning and an outdoor kitchen. The kitchen includes a 12V fridge, barbecue, and space for cooking utensils. There’s also an outdoor flatscreen TV, sport utility racks, and a rooftop tent.
Another amenity that buyers love is the heated floors. This is especially pleasant during the winter because nobody likes to wake up with cold feet. In addition to the standard kitchen amenities, this model also includes a water purifier so you can treat water wherever you go. A third TV is also installed near the driver’s cabin, meaning that this vehicle includes 3 flat-screen TVs in a single floor plan. Nobody will have to miss out on their favorite shows here!
The Loki Basecamp XL Coach Series was built for adventuring and long-term use, but it’s also quite comfortable. Got to say this is one of the ugliest Buses I have seen! Sure if your a Professional Pompous Boring Ass I can see one owning it but this has no class to me. The design inside is very disappointing as looking at the exterior really hyps one up for Rich Luxurious decked out inside with come classy decor but once inside leaves nothing to the imagination except a BIG disappointment!
Better go back to the drawing board one this on guys. Think warm and cozy tones, Think Wood, Leather, Granite with soft warm colors and decor not boring wasted space with long narrow hall, and tiny compact bedroom!!! Open concept works great on the mind.

So can I take the basecamp to Yosemite- no because it’s 45 feet long. How abt most state and federal camp grounds – no because it’s too long. Thank you for keeping that class of “camper” out of our parks
