This may be a drawback in situations where there is a water hookup in a temperature-controlled location at the thermostat end of the hose. Recent customer reviews for this heated water hose are positive, indicating overall customer satisfaction with this product.

The Camco’s are not good at all. they freeze up at about -8 – -10c. have gone through four hoses in the last year.
Very disappointed.
There is a mistake on the power consumption of the no-freeze heated water hose. It actually uses 1.5A max per 25 foot length (< 200W), and that is only when it is very cold. You might have pulled the number 2.5kWh from the website, which is the amount of electricity used in a day (kilowatt-hours), not the amount used instantaneously (< 200W)
