Get A Solar Generator During Jackery’s Pre-Black Friday Sale

Jackery, a leading portable power station company, has decided that the wait for Black Friday is too long. So from November 14th through the 18th, they are offering up to $225 OFF a Solar Generator 1000 and more on their website and Amazon store. So what is a Jackery, and how do they benefit RVers? Read on for a quick overview and to get more sale details below.

What is a Jackery Solar Generator?

Jackery specializes in making portable lithium-based power stations and solar generator systems. In other words, they are a battery, pure sine wave inverter, and a charge controller in an easy-to-carry box.

The Jackery Explorer 1000 has the equivalent storage of a 100Ah lithium 12V RV battery and can power devices up to 1000 watts.

Portable power

Jackery power stations come in different sizes, from the E160 up to the E1500. The latter can power devices up to 1800 watts. Each model comes with a different assortment of plugs for charging and powering devices, including an assortment of USB options and 120V AC plugs.

Solar chargeable

You can recharge them via a supplied wall adapter, 12V car port plug, and optional solar panels. Just like their power stations, Jackery’s SolarSaga Solar panels were designed to be portable. They fold in half, weigh less than ten pounds, and have a zipper pouch on the back to store the cable. They also have USB plugs on the panels themselves so you can charge a phone or tablet directly from solar.

The Explorer 160, 240, 300, and 500 can use up to one 100W solar panel. The Explorer 1000 can take two 100W solar panels, and the Explorer 1500 will accept up to four. The power stations do support pass through charging, meaning you can use the power station while charging. Using the solar panels with the power station creates a solar generator system as the sun generates power while you use it.

Are they useful for RVers?

In short, the answer to the above question is yes. Exactly how it will benefit you depends on the type of RVer you are.

Not just for RVs

The vast majority of RVers use their rig for vacations or weekend trips. If you are among this crowd, you may feel that spending the money installing an expensive solar system on your rig isn’t worth it. Likewise, installing a solar system that you only use a few weekends a year doesn’t make sense.

A Jackery Solar Generator system, which is the power station paired with solar panels, is an excellent option for weekenders because you can use the system at home and on your RV trip. An Explorer 1000 can be used to power TVs, laptops, cooktops, fans, or charge phones during a power outage.

The Solar Generator 1000 will run an electric cooktop, coffee maker, or toaster for breakfast outside while boondocking.

Supplemental power

A Jackery portable power station makes an excellent supplemental power source when maxing out your RV’s power capabilities.

As Patrick Buchanan from Do It Yourself RV states, “With a Jackery portable power station, you can offload some of those functions. Need a couple of quick loads of ice? Plug that portable ice maker into a power station. Once your ice is done you can transfer it to a blender and make something icy and cold.

Blenders draw a decent amount of power, so plug that into the power station as well. The point is, during those peak heat hours when your air conditioner needs all the help it can get, help it with a Jackery portable power station.”

Quiet and safe

A Jackery portable power station is whisper-quiet, which is great for parks that have quiet hours or those who want to enjoy their campsite without the noise of a running generator. In addition, because it is lithium battery-powered, a Jackery emits no fumes, so you can use it inside and bring the power where you need it.
