Points well taken. I’ll say that I think most of these small basic trailers are simple enough to withstand some abuse without causing major damage. Driving “at speed” can mean different things to people but with some common sense and care I think things should be ok. These days I think customers assume the responsibility of research that would lead to development which is another reason why we have so many product recalls.

The great problem with RVs in general and trailer/campers, in particular, is the near-total lack of testing with objective standards for the intended use. The result is exemplified here in grandiose claims that don’t remotely reflect reality. A case in point is the NuCamp Tear Drop. Running one of them at speed on unimproved roads for a couple of days will reduce it to scrap. NuCamp claims are unending and its response to pointed performance questions is near zero. Even their own staff are not informed and they will tell you so if you ask them. The best advice for intended purchasers is to offer to rent one for an off-road trip of a week. I forecast you’ll not find anyone willing to do that. Be guided accordingly.
