Bowlus Road Chief released a new luxury RV. The company’s Endless Highways Performance Edition is an innovative new trailer that carries a hefty price tag of $225,000. It has a sleek aerodynamic metal exterior, measuring 26 feet long and weighing in at 4,000 lbs.

The main feature is the battery. The 600-amp hour, 7,680-watt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery has enough juice on one charge to last up to two weeks on one three to four-hour charge.

A luxury RV you can take off-the-grid

The Highways Performance Edition comes with a 3,000-watt inverter, which is wired to all outlets. This is in contrast to many RVs that only have the inverter wired to a few outlets. The unit also comes with a preinstalled cellular booster and mobile router with embedded 3G/4G modem & GPS.

It features many other amenities that are generally found in high-end Class A motorhomes. Just about every RV model comes with some form of propane heating. Many now come with a heat pump on their A/C unit that can heat the rig with shore power.

Bowlus Road Chief has put a Silent Hydronic Heating System that runs on either shore power or propane in their new travel trailer. The system uses a series of pipes and radiator coils under the floor to heat air with hot water. It is both efficient and quiet.

Many RVers like to follow warmer climates when they travel, making air conditioning a must. The trouble with boondocking and A/C is that most inverters are not powerful enough, or the batteries just wouldn’t last longer than a few hours under the power drain of an A/C unit.

Some have done custom solar builds that allow them to run their A/C units off battery power, but this feature is rarely found in new RVs. The Highway Performance Edition has a 10,000 BTU A/C unit that can run up to 16 hours on batteries.

The unit boasts many other features that put it in the class of yachts and private planes. This might explain the price tag.
