Escapees RV Club Offers Benefits For RVers Of All Ages

If you’re an avid RVer or thinking about starting your RV adventure, you’ve likely heard of the Escapees RV Club. This club has been around since 1978 and has grown into one of the largest RVing communities in North America. With a mission to provide support to all RVers through RV education, RV support services, and a strong community, the Escapees RV Club is an excellent resource for those looking to get the most out of the RVing lifestyle.

Find your community

Escapees RV Club caters to all types of RVers. From working-age RVers and families to retired RVers, part-time and full-time alike, there is a community for everyone. Members can participate in events and rallies hosted by the club and by special-interest groups within the club, which are a great way to meet other RVers and make lasting connections.

Nearly 40 Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) groups are based on common interests and hobbies such as photography, off-roading, yoga, boondocking, and more. Chapters are smaller groups of Escapees within specific regions of North America who plan meetups at local campgrounds and restaurants that are closer to home.

Xscapers is the largest sub-group of Escapees inspired by the Club’s original roots and created for the working-age RVer. Xscapers members seek to move away from the traditional life pattern of a career, house, and accumulation of possessions in favor of a more minimalist and nomadic lifestyle. They start RVing part-time or full-time before retirement, many with their families, and focus on collecting experiences instead of things.

Escapees RV Club events

Events hosted by the Escapees RV Club take place all over North America and Europe throughout the year, but they mostly happen in the contiguous United States. There are Hangouts, Convergences, and HOPs, plus their annual rally, the Escapade, along with the Xscapers Annual Bash.

Hangouts are for active members who can participate in activities during the day and into the evening. HOPs (Head-Out Program) are the “white-glove” events for those who would like everything planned to allow them to relax and not have to worry about transportation, lodging, or cooking. Convergences are run by the Xscapers group and are planned so that activities occur in the evening and on weekends. This allows the working RVers of that group to work during the day and look forward to playing when they are finished.

These events offer a chance to meet others who are like-minded and in similar situations. Many members even choose to travel with their newfound friends afterward and/or plan their travel routes to meet up multiple times throughout the year.

RVers Boot Camps

Unlike a traditional home, the systems and operations of an RV are quite distinct. Fortunately, Escapees is at the forefront of the industry, providing extensive education to RVers through hands-on programs, online courses, articles, blogs, and discussion forums. Their goal is to equip RVers with the confidence and knowledge needed to operate their RV safely on the road.

Their RVers Boot Camps are three-day, in-person courses on the operation, safety, and maintenance of RVs. Members have access to industry experts who are there to help them gain as much knowledge as possible so they can become and/or stay successful RVers.

RVers Online University is Escapees RV Club’s answer to an online version of their RVers Boot Camp. There are two courses: RV Foundations and The Roadmap to Full-Time RVing. RV Foundations covers the operation, safety, and maintenance of RVs, and The Roadmap to Full-Time RVing covers just that: how to transition to full-time RVing.

Both courses can be done at a member’s own pace and include detailed handouts to accompany the video and audio files. Members can even email questions to the instructors to get a complete understanding of the information in each course.

Additional benefits for Escapees RV Club Members

As they say…membership has its benefits. For Escapees members, that includes several things.

Mail forwarding

Since 1985, the Mail Forwarding Service of Escapees RV Club has been operating as the oldest, largest, and most adaptable private mail forwarding service in the country. As a commercial mail-receiving agent licensed by the U.S. Postal Service, they offer full-time and part-time RVers the convenience of receiving their mail and packages anywhere they travel in North America.

RV parking

Escapees RV Club’s parking system is the ultimate solution for parking in the RV industry, offering an extensive range of options. With eight Escapees RV Parks situated from Arizona to Florida, all RVers can enjoy RV parking with the welcoming feel of the Escapees family.

Moreover, the club collaborates with over 800 commercial RV parks that provide members with discounts ranging from 15 to 50 percent. In addition, members have the exclusive opportunity to stay at one of the 11 SKP Co-op parks when leaseholders put their lots into a rental pool while they are away. With so many options, you’re sure to find a great place to hang your hat for a night or more during your travels.

Roadside assistance

At some point, RVers have all experienced the inconvenience of being stranded on the side of the road due to a blown tire, faulty part, or running out of gas. That’s why Escapees joined forces with SafeRide Motor Club to offer the Escapees Roadside Assistance (ERA) program. The ERA program is available in the US and Canada, providing members with the peace of mind that comes with knowing they’re covered “just in case.”

Commercial member discounts

While Escapees RV Club is not considered a discount service club, they simply cannot be experts in everything and want to provide the best of all services to their members. So, they do provide a huge assortment of RV-related products and services from their commercial members and partners at discounted prices. From domicile consultations to tires for your RV, and even internet options, their discounts are valued by their members.

Escapees RV Club: RVer Job Exchange

RVer Job Exchange is a resource for mobile workers looking to find income opportunities that meet the needs of their nomadic lifestyle, as well as for employers who are interested in finding and hiring RVers and mobile workers. From a job board to multiple resources for job seekers, RVer Job Exchange’s mission is to bring every type of job opportunity to fuel the working RVers’ lifestyle.
