Escapees RV Club History
Escapees RV Club has been around since 1978. Founded by full-time RVers, Joe and Kay Peterson, the goal has always been to provide a support group for those pursuing the RVing lifestyle. Over 40 years later, the club has expanded significantly, providing a plethora of services, benefits, and educational and social opportunities for all RVers, novice and veteran, seasonal, and year-round travelers.
The first Escapees RV Parks
In an attempt to meet the needs of its community, Escapees built its first RV park in 1984. Currently, there are 8 RV parks owned by Escapees, Inc. and an additional 11 co-op SKP parks. (In a co-op park, a member has the use of one campsite for as long as he/she owns the share.) Each park bears the signature Escapees house and wagon logo. According to the organization, this symbol has “become a trusted name in affordable, quality RV accommodations.”
The new Franchise Program
To help expand its current RV parks system in a quicker, more efficient manner, Escapees, Inc. is planning to work with new and established RV parks. The ultimate goal is to create campgrounds that mirror central aspects of current Escapees parks, comfortable accommodations at an affordable price. This means eliminating the frills when it comes to amenities.
“We only require you to have the amenities that real RV enthusiasts need and not a bunch of extra equipment that is expensive to install and maintain.”
Those interested in owning and operating a franchise will not be left to fend for themselves. Escapees, Inc. will provide step-by-step guidance throughout each phase of the process. A dedicated team is on call to help approved applicants obtain franchise approval, provide training and branding specifications, and even help with advertising.

Steve, why do you call escapes a joke?
Escapees is a joke and try selling your share when you do not want it anymore. Might as well throw it in the trash. If they were making the money they need they would not be looking to franchise.
