1. Coghlan’s Pop Up Camp Trash Can

Price: $19.99 on Amazon

Traveling in an RV is a great way to reduce your waste and live more efficiently. But, try as we might, everyone still produces some amount of trash over time.

That’s where a pop-up trash can comes to the rescue! As you certainly know, the inside of your RV is precious real estate. Every inch of space is used, so there might not enough space to add in a full-sized trash can.

But once you’ve parked and have set up camp, there may not be a convenient trash can nearby. Pop-up trash cans have a high carrying capacity and are easy to store when they’re not in use. This particular model from Coghlan is made from sturdy polyester and is spring-loaded to quickly expand when you need it.

This is a very useful accessory that will help keep your campground tidy with no hassle. You may even want to get a couple of these containers so you can use them for recycling as well.

2. Camco TastePURE RV Water Filter

Price: $36.95 (2-Pack on Amazon)

Pop-up campers enable you to travel to more places and camp for longer periods of time. However, anyone who has traveled in an RV can tell you that every campground differs when it comes to the water quality.

Most campgrounds and RV parks have water that is totally safe to drink, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to taste good. Trace amounts of minerals, chemicals, and other dissolved materials can affect the taste and quality of water.

That’s why many RVers like to invest in an RV water filter. The Camco TastePURE is an inexpensive and effective unit. It can reduce bad taste, odors, chlorine, and sediment in drinking water, plus give you peace of mind! Customers have been extremely satisfied with this unit, and over 9,000 people have given it a 5-star rating.

3. Rabbitgoo Total Blackout Window Film

Price: $23.98 on Amazon

When it comes to traveling in and maintaining an RV, one of the biggest annoyances is the sun. The sun can raise the temperature of your unit, fade the furniture, and make it hard to sleep in on bright mornings.

Luckily, there are pop up camper accessories that are designed to fight this problem! One of the best products is the Rabbitgoo blackout window film. This is an adhesive material that you can attach directly to your RV’s windows.

It blocks light and heat, which will save you money on cooling costs. These can also be good to use in a living room area if you want to create a movie-theater atmosphere to watch TV. It’s also reusable and doesn’t leave any residue behind on the glass.

4. Honeywell 360 Degree Surround Heater with Fan Forced Technology

Price: About $40 on Amazon

On the other hand, maybe you can’t get enough of the sun’s light and warmth! Cold-weather camping is popular among RVers, but it can get chilly in a pop-up camper (especially if it has soft sides).

Portable space heaters can be a lifesaver in these circumstances. The Honeywell heater is a compact little unit that is beloved by many RVers.

The Honeywell heater is also a great way to reduce your electricity usage. When you’re setting up the camper, you can just switch it on and wait for the unit to heat up, without needing to drain the camper’s battery!

This space heater also has built-in safety features. If it tips over while it’s running, the unit will automatically turn off, which reduces the risk of heat damage or fire. The 360 design also means that it can warm up an entire area, not just one section at a time.

Adding a string of lights makes it easy to enjoy nature even after the sun goes down. Long-term campers might even want to make these lights part of their permanent setup!

Brightech Ambience outdoor lights are a warm white color and each bulb is a 2-watt LED. They’re waterproof and can even withstand winds of up to 50 mph. There is also a 3-year warranty that guarantees the bulb’s lifespan and efficiency.

7. Dura Faucet RV Exterior Quick Connect Spray Faucet

Price: $52.66 on Amazon

Pop up campers are quite popular, and they’re great options for families that love camping. However, one thing that they sometimes lack is a functioning bathroom. Due to the limited space and fold-out design, some units don’t have a shower, or even a toilet!

That’s where camper accessories come in handy. After a long hike or day at the lake, you may want to clean off. The Dura Faucet is a plumbing extension that you can use for an outdoor shower.

It comes with a 15-foot hose and a variety of spray nozzles. It’s also quick and easy to install, with no need for outside help. Just add a curtain screen, grab some soap, and you’re ready for an outdoor shower!

8. Camco Premium Travel Toilet with Detachable Tank

Speaking of limited bathroom amenities, many pop up campers don’t come with toilets. This usually isn’t a problem if you’re staying in RV parks or campgrounds, but it can be inconvenient during bad weather or the middle of the night.

Luckily, there is a range of portable toilets on the market. The Camco travel toilet is a small, compact item that is easy to pack into an RV. It contains a 4-gallon flush tank and it has a swivel dumping elbow for easy waste removal.

Luckily, there are electric ice makers. These will ensure that you have a stock of ice cubes any time you need them. The Oline Ice Maker can produce 26 pounds of ice in just 24 hours.

  1. I have owned 3 different manufactures of pop-up/tent trailers and NONE of them had any glass windows that I could have used the blackout window film on as discribed in that article. Anybody think I’m wrong?
