hese levelers have a reputation of being one of the toughest around. It can withstand 40,000 lbs! Which is a whole lot of weight!

The only downside to this leveler is its honeycomb design. And while it is very effective, when placed on wet ground the leveler can tend to sink into the soft ground.

3 Anderson Camper Leveler

Though despite its cons the design of the leveler has it also function as a stablizier!

4 Camco Yellow Drive On Tri-Leveler

This leveler can be used on three different heights! The first being 1.3 inches, then 2.6 inches and finally 3.9 inches. If you want some more height added onto your leveler you can add in a tile leveler or just buy a different leveler altogether.

Buyer’s Guide to Leveling Blocks

Durability

This is probably one of the most important things to look for in a leveler. You do not want something that is fragile, and unable to do its job. You need something that can last and withstand a few bumps and scrapes.

If you were to buy a cheap leveler and if it were to crack your RV will shift to one side which can be a bit of a problem if you are inside cooking.

All the companies that can be caused by faulty levelers can be prevented with ones of higher quality. These higher quality levelers will pack quite a punch.

They should be able to withstand the cold and even extreme heat. One thing many RV leveler owners say is to check the warranty that the companys offer.

The better the offer, the better your choice is likely to be.

Maximum Weight

Most levelers can only handle a small amount of weight. Though, there are some levelers that can hold a very large amount of weight. Make sure to know the weight of your RV before you place your chosen leveler.

It would be unfortunate to have a broken leveler because you did not know it could break under that much weight.

Easy to Use

If you can manage to set up your leveler when you are alone then it is probably one of your better choices. Something that is easy to manage and not too difficult to set up is perfect because you can rely on it saving you time.

Price

This aspect of choosing a leveler is a major concern to any camper. You want something you can rely on and is durable but something that won’t break the bank.

Sometimes a leveler can be more expensive due to its brand or because it may have some additional features.

Types of Leveling Blocks

There are two main types of leveling blocks for fifth wheels. These are interlocking leveling blocks, and leveling ramps. I

Interlocking blocks are basically plastic, square tiles that look like a bigger version of a Lego. To use it you simply stack them on one another till its height reaches a point you prefer.

Ramp leveling blocks do not need to be stacked like an interlocking one. Instead, they are already molded like stairs and each have a fixed height. Though one thing most notice about these kinds of leveleer are that they tend to slip  when you drive on them.

Though you can easily place a rubber mat underneath the blocks and chocking your wheel to keep it from moving like before.

Related Questions

How do leveling blocks work? Leveling blocks function by adding height onto your wheels while thye are on the ground. They can be stacked upon one another till they reach your desired height.

Can you make your own leveling block? You can make your own leveling block by getting wood cutting it down so it is 8 to 10 inches on each side, and the thickness shouldn’t exceed 10 inches. Then you attatch a screw eyelet on one side and tie a rope through the eyelet so you can pull it easier.
