The NRMA Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park is one of many NRMA parks around Australia, but the Sydney Lakeside one seems to be a favorite among visitors. Only being 40 minutes from the middle of Sydney it offers plenty of fun for visitors of all kinds

The NRMA Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park offers a variety of campsites and cabins, but one that is accessible to RVs is the Powered sites that accommodate up to 6 people and include one 1 car space.

Discovery Parks- Emerald Beach is an amazing park, that seems to be a favorite among many people. Located at Coffs Harbor, it is only a short distance from Sydney and will make for an amazing vacation with fun for the whole family.

Emerald Beach offers a Powered Slab Site that sleeps 8 people, which is accessible to RV campers and includes many park amenities.

They do not accommodate pets so be sure if you plan to stay at this park to leave your furry friends with someone not coming along with you.

The amenities are cleaned daily and are perfectly maintained. Wallacia is a smaller caravan park located right by the Nepean River. It is a great smaller campground for families, friends, and individuals to get away on a weekend camping trip.

This is more of a simple campsite, but still, one that campers tend to enjoy. While there aren’t many facilities or activities right at the campsites it is only a short walk to the nearby shops and Wallacia Hotel, which can provide city benefits without losing the fun of camping.

I sadly could not find any information concerning the price of this campsite.

7. Oakdale Caravan Park

The Oakdale Caravan Park is a residential park that also offers rates for short term stays for RVs.

This camp is a great place to consider if you are looking for a place to just park your RV as it doesn’t have many amenities but it is very close to a town and shops and is only an hour drive to Sydney’s City Center.

According to the Oakdale website, “Oakdale Residential Park is a short walk to the shops and facilities of the village of Oakdale which rests within a tranquil semi-rural environment southwest of the Sydney metropolitan area just 30 minutes from all the services and facilities of Campbelltown.

Coal mining was originally the major industry in the area however the coal mine closed down several years ago. There are still plenty of reminders throughout the area which highlight the contribution of mining to the development of Oakdale and the surrounding area.”

To find out prices you have to fill out a form and send it in to management for a short term stay as prices will vary depending on the situation and time of year.

Katoomba Falls is a beautiful area and as they add on Caravan and Camping: “Katoomba Falls Tourist Park is ideally located within walking access to the famous Three Sisters, Scenic World Skyway and Katoomba township.

Bushwalks lead from the front of the Park to spectacular viewpoints and hidden waterfalls, and we’re just a short walk to Echo Point, home of the fabled Three Sisters. After a long day exploring the natural wonders of the Blue Mountains, the cafes, restaurants and friendly pubs of Katoomba town centre are close by.”

Are tents also allowed on powered campsites? At most campsites located in Sydney, Australia that offer powered campsites, they also offered grass powered campsites that allow for tent use.

Are there places to camp in Sydney that are free? There are quite a few camping spots in or near Sydney that are free of charge but, many of these campsites don’t include powered tent sites or sites that accommodate RVs.
