Roadmaster has unveiled two exciting new products that make the RV dinghy towing experience more effective than ever. The Tow Defender Heat Shield is engineered for extreme heat protection for rock shields, while all-new fabric anchors not only enhance that protection, but have a variety of other uses as well.

Motorhome owners who practice RV dinghy towing often use a rock guard to protect the towed vehicle from dirt and debris kicked up by the coach. However, those towing with rear-diesel-exhaust motorhomes are generally discouraged from using protective rock shields. That’s because the intense heat from diesel exhausts can reach temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Such heat poses a risk of melting
traditional fabric shields —until now.

The Tow Defender Heat Shield is engineered to absorb extreme heat and provide a safe solution for rock-guard usage on motorhomes with rear diesel exhausts. Made with aluminum-laminated fiberglass with a heavy-duty 35-mil thickness, the Heat Shield is abrasion-resistant. It’s also resistant to solvents, acids, and alkali, ensuring longevity and durability. The Heat Shield has been specifically designed for use with the Tow Defender. But, it can also be used for other applications requiring protection from extreme heat.

Installation using the fabric anchors (see below) takes just minutes, and owners will quickly be on the road RV dinghy towing with peace of mind.

Roadmaster’s new fabric anchors are made from recycled materials, and are up to four times stronger than brass grommets. Complementing the Heat Shield, they extend the lifespan of protective covers and enhance overall durability during outdoor adventures. Plus, they’re also useful for customizing tents, banners, or equipment tarps. The fabric anchors provide instant solutions for adding grommets securely. All it takes is a quick tap from a hammer or rubber mallet.
