What Is The Best Two Bedroom Fifth Wheel?

Fifth wheels are popular among RV lovers because of their massive floor plans. Campers can really stretch out and enjoy a bit of extra space when they choose this type of RV.

One thing that makes them great is their ability to accommodate large groups of people. Many fifth wheels have 2 bedrooms (as well as additional sleeping spaces). When you’re trying to narrow down your options, it can be hard to tell what the best floor plans are.

We’ve provided our recommendation for the best two bedroom fifth wheel below, as well as a couple of runner-ups to consider.

The best two bedroom fifth wheel: Coachmen Chaparral 360IBL

  • Length: 39 feet, 9 inches
  • Gross Vehicle Weight Capacity: 14,000 lbs.
  • Fresh Water Capacity: 48 gallons
  • Slideouts: 4

There are lots of great fifth wheel floor plans out there, but the Coachmen Chaparral is a nice all-around option that has been well received by customers. It’s not the biggest or smallest option on the market, so you can get the benefits of a spacious floor plan without some of the drawbacks of the larger and heavier models.

One nice thing about this floor plan is that the two bedrooms are next to each other. Many floor plans put the bedrooms on opposite sides of the RV, which can limit the usable space in the living room, kitchen, etc. When the bedrooms are close to each other, all the passengers can easily access the bathroom in the middle as well.

With a grand total of 4 slide-outs, this is a great RV that can balance a compact design for travel, and a spread-out comfortable floor plan that is needed for camping. This is one of the best campers for large groups and everyone can travel in comfort.

This design also sports a variety of handy amenities. For instance, the very front end of this fifth wheel contains a large wardrobe and a washer and dryer. Now you won’t have to rely on your RV parks or campgrounds to provide laundry facilities!

The two bedrooms are fairly spacious as well, and each of the beds sit partially within a slide-out. There is a queen-sized bed in the front bedroom and a set of double bunks in the other room. The rest of the RV is occupied with a spacious living room and kitchen space. Slide-outs in this area contain most of the kitchen appliances, as well as a free-standing table and a set of theater seats.

There’s even a tri-fold sofa at the rear of this floor plan, which can provide even more sleeping space for passengers. No one will have to bring a sleeping bag when you travel in the Coachmen Chaparral 360IBL.

Forest River Heritage Glen 356QB

  • Length: 43 feet
  • Gross Vehicle Weight Capacity: 13,790 lbs.
  • Fresh Water Capacity: 57 gallons
  • Slideouts: 4

If you’re looking for a bigger, longer, and heavier fifth wheel, the Heritage Glen is the right option for you! This is a massive RV that is perfect for campers that love a bit more luxury in their life. This is a fifth wheel that offers tons of storage space, sleeping areas, and all the amenities you can fit into its 43-foot length (quite a few!)

The Heritage Glen has more space between the bedrooms compared to the previous option. There is a master bedroom at the front of the fifth wheel and a separate room at the back that contains a set of bunk beds and a sofa that can convert into a queen-sized bed. A lot of people can sleep in comfort with a setup like this.

As an extra perk, each bedroom is situated right next to a bathroom. If you’re trying to fill this fifth wheel to its maximum capacity, you won’t want to share a bathroom with everyone else! Both bathrooms are equipped with their own toilet, shower, and sink.

The center of this floor plan contains the living room and kitchen. Between the family-sized dinette and the tri-fold sofa, there is plenty of seating space in here. There is also a spacious kitchen with a pantry and a 14 cubic foot fridge to match. Nobody will be going hungry when you’re traveling in this rig!

This camper certainly isn’t the right fit for everyone due to its large size and expensive price tag, but if you’re looking for a fifth wheel that can accommodate lots of people in comfort, it’s certainly worth looking into.

Jayco Eagle HTX 26BHX

  • Length: 31 feet, 6 inches
  • Gross Vehicle Weight Capacity: 9,995 lbs.
  • Fresh Water Capacity: 42 gallons
  • Slideouts: 1

Sometimes bigger isn’t always better. The Jayco Eagle HTX 26BHX is still fairly large for an RV, but smaller than many fifth wheels with 2 bedrooms. This floor plan is a great choice for campers who are looking to spend a bit more quality time together and save a bit of money as well. After all, a smaller, older fifth wheel means a smaller price tag!

This RV doesn’t skimp on quality. It’s been well received by customers and has been able to maximize every inch of space. Like the model above, this floor plan separates the bedrooms by placing them on either end of the fifth wheel. The front bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, 2 wardrobes, and a nightstand.

The rear bedroom sports a pair of bunk beds (both are double beds), and they tuck neatly into the corner. There’s only one bathroom for this floor plan, but it is fairly spacious for an RV. There’s a shower, toilet, and small sink/vanity. Everyone should be able to make it work just fine!

The Jayco Eagle HTX only has one slide-out, but it is utilized well. The slide-out is located in the center module of the RV and it contains a booth-style dinette, a set of overhead storage shelves, and a tri-fold sofa that can convert into an extra sleeping area.

All of this sits across from the kitchen, which is compact, but effective. There’s a good-sized pantry, refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink, and a bit of countertop space as well. This camper might not be the flashiest option on the market, but it’s comfortable, well-designed, and can accommodate a good number of passengers. Big groups of campers should be able to have a great experience in this RV!

It can sometimes be hard to find a campsite that accommodates the size of a big RV. Use an RV-safe GPS like the RV LIFE App and check RV LIFE Campgrounds to learn whether or not a campground will be able to accommodate your RV.
