Get A Look At The New 2022 Class B RV Lineup From Thor Motor Coach

Thor Motor Coach is one of the top RV manufacturers in the U.S. and they make motorhomes of all shapes and sizes. This company offers Class A, B, and C motorhomes, each with their own selection of unique floor plans. Every year they announce new products, floor plans, and upgrades. In 2021, they updated their Class B RV lineup.

The 2021 lineup from Thor includes 2 new motorhomes as well as updates to existing models. The newest models are some of the smallest that Thor has ever created, each coming in at about 18 feet long. However, you shouldn’t discount their abilities! Even though they’re more compact than many other motorhomes, they can still provide a great living space, all while being easier to handle on the road. The vans both feature soft-sided extendable tops as well, which increases the amount of headspace. You won’t be bumping your head in these vehicles!

New Class B RV: Rize

The Rize is a new brand for Thor Motor Coach, and it looks like it’ll be a great model for people who are new to traveling in a motorhome. As mentioned above, the Rize is one of the 2 new models that are fairly small. They’re less than 18 feet long (17 feet, 11 inches to be exact) and that’s pretty short for a motorhome. However, this means that these vehicles are much easier for the drivers to park, drive, and maneuver.

The Rize currently has 2 floor plans, the 18T and 18M. Both of them will work for traveling with small groups, but they have different features that make them stand out from each other. For instance, the 18M has a wet bath at the back of the unit, while the 18T doesn’t have one at all. Both floor plans include a removable dining table, a pull-out bed, a small cooking area, and some storage space.

Because the space is limited, the Rize can only fit so much into its floor plans. However, both the 18T and 18M look like they use their space well and will provide a good experience for people who buy them. Of the two, I would probably choose the 18M, just because it has the option of a bathroom, which is always nice on campouts and road trips. It is a bit more expensive though, so you’ll have to weigh your preferences with your budget.

New Class B RV: Scope

The Scope is another small Class B RV from the new Thor lineup. It’s quite similar to Rize in many ways, including the fact that it also has 2 floor plans called the 18T and 18M.

In fact, the floor plans and their amenities are practically identical to the Rize, right down to the base prices being the same. The main difference is in terms of decoration and customization. The Rize has a more cool grey color palette, while the Scope features more warm-toned browns. The Scope also has more fabrics, leathers, and faux woods that appear throughout the vehicle, giving it a more fleshed out appearance.

The 18T and 18M are good options for both the Rize and Scope, but the one that you choose will depend on what you want to use this Class B RV for. The 18T is ideal for day trips or short weekend outings. It’s comfortable enough for a short trip and has all the bare necessities you would need. If you’re looking for a vehicle that can handle slightly longer trips, the 18M is the way to go. It’s more multi-functional and the addition of the wet bath means that you’ll have to make fewer stops.

Updates to previous RV models

In addition to debuting their 2 new product lines, Thor Motor Coach has continued to tweak and adjust their existing products as well. Two main camper van lines that received special treatment in 2021 included the Tellaro and Sequence.

Tellaro

The Tellaro comes in 3 floor plans, the 20A, 20K, and 20L. Each vehicle is 21 feet and 1 inch long, so they are a bit longer than the Rize and Scope. They also all include sleeping areas, a wet bath, and a kitchen, so you’ll be set up for longer trips if you choose any of these layouts.

The Tellaro decoration scheme is similar to the Rize because it focuses on more cool, classy grey tones.

Sequence

Much like the Tellaro, the Sequence lineup of Class B RVs has 3 floor plans. Once again, these are nearly identical to their counterparts, with the main difference being changes to the color palette and decoration. The Sequence has a similar color scheme to the Scope, with an emphasis on earthy, warm, natural tones.

Both the Tellaro and Sequence product lines have been updated with some new features for the 2021/2022 year. They feature Thule® accessories, which have been highly rated by customers. They have roof-mounted bike racks, a roof ladder, and a patio awning with built-in LED lights. All of these features will improve your outdoor experience and give you more options.

Conclusion

All of these Class B RVs are designed with safety, comfort, and convenience in mind. All of them are strong contenders, and customers should consider the benefits of these newly updated models.

Thor Motor Coach also worked on other products outside of their Class B RV lineup. Their Class A brands of Hurricane, Windsport, and A.C.E. all received revamps, updates, and new floor plans for 2021. If you prefer Class A motorhomes, these updates might be exciting for you.

This company is dedicated to innovation, and 2020 was a great year of growth for them. Expect to see great new things in the future if the updates we’ve seen in 2021 are any indication!

  1. Liking the new Scope 18M. Perfect size for us part-time RV’er retired couple. Only problem, not a lot of Thor dealers in New England area, so going out of the area to buy one is probably the only option.
