Attending An RV Rally Can Be A Great Learning Experience

RVers are planning getaways a little more carefully. Scarce RV sites, high fuel costs, difficulty in finding RV parts—these all lend themselves to RVers being more selective in where they go, how long, and who they spend their time with.

So, why would an RVer use valuable getaway time by attending an RV rally? Here are several reasons why an RV rally may be the best decision you have made in a long time.

Shared ideas

Good rallies can be a bed of great ideas. These can help us find work-arounds on issues we may be having with our RV. They can also provide cost-saving concepts when we find out how someone else is handling an issue we have been stumped by for weeks or months. We may even discover a way of doing something that saves us time or makes our lives just a little easier.

Onsite RV service

When you attend a rally that is specialized towards specific groups and activities, you will find more support for your RV lifestyle. Do you have trouble finding the services you need at home? Do you lose access to your RV because it is being serviced for such long periods of time?

Going to a rally may open doors for you on ways to fix your RV yourself or find out about products and services to prevent you from needing extra services on your RV. These are great time and money saving investments you can make by attending an RV rally.

Local resources

Maybe the RV rally is in an area where you can address the specific needs of your RV and your RV lifestyle. During a rally, local resources can pull together and be a source of support for rally attendees. Local vendors can be onsite offering new and unique products and services you haven’t encountered.

Sometimes it just helps to see things through local perspectives to give you new ideas or ways of doing something. Changing your viewpoint in a new location can give you a big jump start on how to approach an old problem.

Using skills

You may watch all these videos and read a lot of articles on RVing. But when do you practice the skills and techniques you have been learning? A rally is a great place for hands-on activities that will let you practice and hone skills. These skills protect your RV and yourself in your travels. We don’t have to repeat mistakes when we can learn and implement skills through training and learning.

Make community connections at an RV rally

Never underestimate the power of connecting with other RVers. Especially when you attend a rally where you share several things in common with the other RVers. The more you have in common, the more likely you will be able to share stories and exchange information that will help you immensely.

Maybe it is a rally where you all have the same brand of rig. Or maybe you share the same hobby or enjoy the same activities. These connections will not only help you improve your lifestyle experiences, but they can also create opportunities for lifelong friendships.

An example of an RV rally

An upcoming RV rally with all these key features is the Direction Wide Open RV & Motorcycle Rally. It is specifically for RVers who travel with large toys like motorcycles, trikes, CanAms, sidecars, and more. You can find resources online on how to do this, but this rally takes it to the next level. Participate in live demonstrations on hauling your large toy. Seminars are being offered on how to strap down your toys while you relocate and more.

At the RV & Motorcycle Rally, there are also Coffee Talks, trivia, and interactive games that create a community where attendees can share ideas on what this lifestyle is all about. There are also giveaways that help with the RV & Motorcycles lifestyle, including great gifts and products from RV LIFE! This rally is taking place in Bandera, Texas (near San Antonio and Fredericksburg), September 22-25, 2022. This is one rally you don’t want to miss!

The key thing to remember is the rally or rallies you select to attend should include these important features. These types of rallies are the ones that help you offset expenses and make rewarding connections. Part of the RV rally attendance is about investing in the future, both for your RV and for yourself.

  2. I was lucky enough to get a spot at Tiffins 50th Anniversary rally in Wyoming. 625 coaches were there and I got a chance to talk to Mr Bob Tiffin one on one before anyone came into the Allegto Bus Bob was in.
