This RV Industry Vet Is Showing RVs Are Still The Best Way To Travel And NOW Is The Time to Do It
When you’ve practically done it all, you learn that waiting for the ideal time to try something new or take an epic adventure doesn’t always work out. Sometimes you just have to Do It Now. With that in mind, John DiPietro, RV industry veteran, husband, father, grandfather, radio host, television host, and long-time associate to the late Kenny Rogers, has decided to showcase the fun of RV travel with his “DO IT NOW TOUR ‘22”, launching June 24th through July 23.
John, also a host on our own Camper Report Show, will spend a month on the road, traveling from Maine to Miami. Along the way, John will meet and interview real RVers, getting their take on why and how they choose the RV lifestyle. He’ll ask about fuel prices, favorite locations, how often they travel, and much more.
Getting a little help from RV industry friends
While not quite as well known as the Beatles (yet), John has been in the industry long enough to make some great connections. John and his crew will be heading south in a Dynamax Europa Super C motorhome, while using RV LIFE Pro featuring RV LIFE Trip Wizard to plan and navigate to host campgrounds sponsored by KOA, Blue Water Development Corporation, and Sun Outdoors. Of course, our mutual friends at RV Business and Woodall’s Campground Magazine will be monitoring their progress as the media partner.
Long-time friend Bob Zagami, John’s co-host on both the Camper Report Show and RVing in New England, a weekly online talk show now in its sixth year on the New England RV Dealers Association’s Facebook page, will be posting regularly throughout the tour.
Why Do It Now?
As we have all seen the last few years, the political and socio-economic landscapes are changing fast. These changes have affected the RV industry as well, which has seen unprecedented growth, all well documented by the RV Industry Association. John decided to turn his vacation into a full-fledged media tour after seeing so many negative articles on how inflation and rising gas prices could force many RVers to dramatically change their vacation plans.
John was also recently impacted by a viewer relating a story where a couple kept putting off their vacation plans. Weeks before their own epic journey was finally about to begin, the husband had a stroke. Instead of an excellent adventure, they now shuttle back and forth to rehab.
John reiterates, “I believe that you ONLY HAVE TODAY to work with and canceling for another time, does not guarantee the trip will take place then…or ever. In my research that I do for segments that appear on The Camper Report Show, I have heard of several instances where people “put off” a trip for another time, only to have a family member take sick and the trip never happened.”

Visit family and friends while you still can
If you’ve met John, you’ll know he’s always ‘on’, and you can expect a lot of interesting content to come out of this adventure. This trip is not only an RV industry business trip, however. John, his wife, and granddaughter will be checking out the Jersey Shore, the Outer Banks, the Kennedy Space Center, and many more interesting locations along the way.
You can’t keep the RV industry out of John completely, though, so they’ll be stopping by several Campers Inn RV locations during their Do It Now Tour ‘22. The DO IT NOW TOUR ‘22 kicks off June 23 at the Campers Inn RV dealership in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
