New Survey Offers An Insight On RV Buyers & Their Preferences

Soaring RV sales and shipments are making headlines in RV industry news as of late. But who are these folks flocking to local dealerships and searching online for new or used units? A recent survey, requested by the RV Industry Association, revealed who the new RV buyers are, among other details.

Meet the new RV buyers

According to the survey, an RV buyer is most likely a married Caucasian millennial. In addition, millennials are paying more for RVs, forking over an average of $82,000 instead of the average spending price of $75,000.

Overall, new buyers appear to be seeking the RV lifestyle for relaxation and exploration purposes more so than finding ways to work and take courses remotely. They also prefer traveling with a crew of three or more to destinations like state parks or campgrounds within a 200-mile radius.
