Published on April 17th, 2020 by Nikki Cleveland

South Florida’s largest RV dealer North Trail RV Center in Fort Myers recently revealed a first look at the Newmar 2021 King Aire Motorhome on their Youtube channel.

North Trail RV, acclaimed as the World’s Largest Full Line Newmar Motorhome Dealer, shared a sneak peek inside the beautifully redesigned 2021 King Aire motorhome in addition to other new models in Newmar’s lineup including the 2021 Dutch Star, 2021 New Aire, the 2021 Ventana, 2021 London Aire, the Supreme Aire Super C motorhome, and the gas-powered Canyon Star.

The 2021 Newmar King Aire

The 2021 King Aire is a step up from its predecessors with a new polished look and several upgraded features. Most notable is the luxury motorhome’s new lithium-ion batteries that provide 30 kilos of power; they power both the front A/C and mid A/C in the RV and have an automatic shut-off below 30% to prevent damage.

The exterior was detailed with new docking lights and blind-spot monitors while the interior has been upgraded with European-style cabinetry, leather furniture, and quartz countertops. The large windows, including the side windows and windshield, are bonded in place for a quieter ride and a better look.

The 2021 King Aire sits on a Spartan K3 chassis with an increased interior height, providing 2 inches more headroom than previous models. This year’s model also separates itself from previous models with renovated exterior luggage compartments that feature boating-style vinyl that is both water and skid resistant.

A redesigned interior

As soon as you step inside you can tell the 2021 King Aire has set the bar high for this year’s luxury diesel motorhomes. Sitting in the front of the coach, just behind the high-end passenger seats, are beautiful Italian leather sofas with new pillows and baseball-style stitching. The coach features an upgraded entertainment system throughout including an 8K Samsung TV up front along with a Samsung QLED TV in the master bedroom.

The opulent kitchen has been redesigned with quartz countertops and a marble-like porcelain backsplash with metal inserts. The faucets, as well as the rest of the plumbing throughout the coach, was exclusively designed by the high-end company Hansgrohe USA. Above the counters are European-style cabinets with a mirror-like finish, one of which hides the Viking microwave so the kitchen maintains a clean, finished look when the unit is not in use. Also in the kitchen is a Viking residential-style fridge and a dining area with a quartz countertop and comfortable chairs that were custom-designed for this year’s model.

The luxurious interior

Upgraded lighting throughout the coach keeps the interior adequately lit, including two layers of lighting in the ceiling, linear lights on the slide-outs, under the furniture, and under every countertop. The flooring is all-new; it is made of a beautiful porcelain with a contemporary look. Of course, Newmar did not stop there on luxurious touches—the ceiling material is made of a luxury vinyl, and the walls are adorned with a brand new wallpaper, with a shiny metallic look, only available in the new King Aire.

Just past the kitchen is the half-bath with a hammered sink, which matches the luxurious trough sink in the master bath. The bedroom only steps down the hall was redesigned with leather blinds, an optional fireplace and a Samsung TV across from the bed, and renovated nightstands with storage underneath and outlets to charge your devices. The headboard as well as the bed base are embossed while new sconces were added to each side of the bed. Newmar also incorporated customer feedback into this year’s bed; it now features a down alternative comforter that is much less heavy.

Accessible from the bedroom is the lavish master bath. The 2021 King Aire is Newmar’s first luxury coach with a master bath featuring all marble flooring. This can be seen in every one of their decor options as it looks fantastic with everything. The master bath, looking more like a luxury hotel bathroom than a bathroom inside a motorhome, features a stand-up shower with all glass doors and a custom-made mosaic tiled wall with a rainfall-style design. The wide trough sink has been featured in previous models but this year has all new faucets and a hammered design to match the sink in the half-bath.

The 2021 King Aire also comes equipped with a Miele washer and dryer, an 85,000 BTU hydronic heating system and more. Various exterior graphics and interior decor options are available as well as optional upgraded features.

The base price for the 2021 King Aire is set to be over $1.3 million. For the full walk-through, check out the video below hosted by Ken Williamson, a sales accountant manager for Newmar Corp, as well as Kim, the interior designer.

Another user says,

Well, for those who were wondering if they would combine the King Aire, Essex and London Aire (since they are all on the same chassis), that question has been clearly answered. The luxury appliances and 30kwh lithium battery bank (which can run two AC’s without a generator) definitely set it apart from the Essex and London Aire.

I imagine those feature will add a lot to the price, so agree that the Realm or IH-45 might be a better deal at those prices.

Agree that those slideouts (which seem identical to a Ventana from the outside) don’t really fit on a 1+ million dollar coach.
