Camper and RV Accessibility

Open year-round, the Sherwood Forest RV Resort has 514 sites from which campers can pick pull-through or back-in, with or without pad and has big-rig access although some areas may be a little tight to turn in. All sites have a picnic table and cable television, with some sites also having shade trees with either grass or sand with paved roads throughout the park. All sites provide full hookups at 20 and 30 amps. Phone service is also available for several cell phone service providers. Some campers have been residing at the Sherwood Forest RV Resort for years. They are open year round.

The Campgrounds

Sherwood Forest is a good place to stay to avoid the high cost of staying on grounds at Disney World for meals and lodging. One night at Disney is expensive, not to mention the cost of the meal plans. The other benefit is that the lesser prices at Sherwood Forest include going to the beach and shopping, not counting the many activities and events at the campground itself. Campers may want to bring their bikes as there are plenty of spaces to enjoy biking and walking.

Campground Activities

They have an activities director who makes sure there are plenty of entertaining things to do for all age groups.

Classes for line dancing, swing dancing, and country western dancing are are lots of fun for beginners as well as old pros. Aerobic and exercise dancing is also offered. There are exercise classes for both men and women. Afterward, campers can enjoy a cooling swim and the on-grounds Tiki bar.

If city life is your preference, there are lots of shopping malls within a few miles of the campground.

The Clearwater and Cocoa Beaches can be driven to for families who are looking for a quieter outing. The drive to Cocoa Beach will take about one hour and fifteen minutes. Clearwater Beach is about two hours away or so depending on the route you take, so checking a map would save time driving.
