If you want something simple, yet versatile, the Do-Drop could be perfect for you. Each unit is made from scratch and the chassis is made from tubular steel with a powder-coated finish. These trailers are about 7 feet long as well. The base unit just has the interior cabin, which is large enough for a bed and a bit of storage space. Upgrades for a rear galley/chuck-box are available for an additional fee, but even these upgrades will keep you well within your $15K budget.

This is a very bare-bones trailer, but it’s cheap, comfortable, and will travel well. You can easily tow it behind a small vehicle, and you’ll have the luxury of enjoying a cozy bed no matter where you travel. The Do-Drop makes camping easy!

2022 Forest River Rockwood LTD Series 1640LTD: $11,740

When it comes to cheap RVs and campers, no list would be complete without a shoutout to the Rockwood lineup from Forest River. This is one of the larger floor plans on this list, but it’s also one of the cheapest. This is a rare combination to find, but the Rockwood 1640LTD does it well.

This camping trailer includes two pop-out sides, each of which contains a mattress. This adds a ton of sleeping space, making the 1640LTD a great choice for larger families who want to camp in comfort. It’s 12′ 4″ long when in travel mode, and 17′ 2″ when it’s in camping mode.

The middle section of this trailer includes a booth-style dinette, sink, refrigerator, 2 burner stove, and a good amount of counter space. There are also built-in cabinets for interior storage. Families can cook, sleep, and relax in this space with no trouble at all. To expand the fun to the outdoors, this unit also comes with a 7′ awning and an additional carry-out range for outdoor cooking.

The base model is simple and rugged. It comes with Jeep fenders, 31″ all-terrain tires, and electric brakes. The interior contains a memory foam mattress and a selection of storage cabinets. Because of its sturdy design and flat roof, campers can also choose to install a roof tent on the top of their Gobi X. This will expand the amount of sleeping space and provide a more authentic camping experience.

This model also comes with the option for a ton of upgrades and add-ons. Some of these options include:

  • BBQ Grill
  • Shock Upgrade
  • Aluminum Front Tongue Box
  • 2″ Body Lift
  • Front Window
  • Roof Vent Fan
  • Fender Water Cans
  • 12-Volt Refrigerator

Rockwood Geo Pro G12SRK: 13,999

We couldn’t wrap this list up without mentioning one more great model from the Rockwood lineup! The Geo Pro G12SRK is a fully enclosed travel trailer (unlike the 1640LTD, which is a pop-out model). This vehicle comes in at a reasonable 12′ 3″ length and it has a dry weight of 1,763 lbs. This size makes it manageable for a variety of tow vehicles, and it has the space and amenities to keep a small family happy and comfortable.

The interior hosts a 74″ gaucho couch that can expand into a full-sized bed. It’s perfect for relaxing during the day and sleeping at night! There is also a mounted TV, a set of overhead cabinets, and a wardrobe in the corner.

When it comes to cooking, this unit has you covered too. The rear of this vehicle flips up to reveal an outside kitchen. This is complete with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and a 2 burner stove. In addition, the whole cooking area is protected by the overhanging roof. So even if it’s raining, you can stay nice and dry while you cook.

This model also comes with additional exterior features like an outdoor shower, magnetic baggage door catches, an outside griddle, ground solar prep, and an optional 8′ awning. Inside and outside, this is among the best cheap RVs and campers.

2022 Braxton Creek Free Solo OG: $14,218

Cheap RVs and campers sometimes come with an expectation of lower quality, but the Braxton Creek Free Solo proves all the doubters wrong! This teardrop trailer blends comfort and functionality beautifully. The rounded design makes it sleek and aerodynamic, and the style is very modern.

The 2022 model measures in at 13′ long and 1,320 lbs. This makes it one of the largest and heaviest models on this list, but it’s still quite compact. That extra length and weight make it possible for this trailer to fit all the amenities that make it worthwhile!

The interior of this unit comes with two side-by-side beds that face a wall-mounted TV. It’s the perfect place to flop and relax after a long day. There are also doors on both sides of the trailer so it can be easily entered without climbing over somebody.

The interior also has a converter, an A/C unit, and a radio. The rear of this unit opens up to reveal a small kitchen. It comes with a sink, 12-volt cooler, and 2 burner stove. Storage space is available above and below the main workspace. You can cook meals wherever you are and enjoy the great outdoors as well!

The 2022 model isn’t widely available yet, but keep your eyes open for this teardrop trailer at your nearest dealership. Visit this Braxton Creek Free Solo OG product page here for more details.
