New ATV Campground Opens In West Virginia

Camping in a tent or RV is a wonderful way to connect with nature. But those who are more adventurous often enjoy exploring their surroundings by going on hiking, biking, or fishing trips in the local area. Another way to explore nature in the area around a campground is by using an ATV (all-terrain vehicle). These can handle tough trails and make it easy to travel long distances without exhausting yourself. Resorts that double as an ATV campground are becoming increasingly popular, and a new one just opened up in West Virginia.

The Twin Branch Resort is a brand new campground that can accommodate any camper’s preferences. This ATV campground is built to serve tent campers, RVers, and cabin-dwellers alike. You can host groups of any size here, and there’s plenty of activities and options available to fill the time.

This is certainly a promising addition to the world of ATV camping, so let’s look into what you can expect from a stay at Twin Branch Resort.

ATV Rentals

Campers are welcome to bring their own equipment to the Twin Branch Resort, but sometimes it can be a hassle to buy and transport your own ATVs over long distances. To make this activity more accessible to all their visitors, this ATV campground offers a selection of ATVs and SXS (side-by-sides) that are available to rent.

7 different types of recreational vehicles are offered and they are maintained by the resort. These vehicles are kept in top condition and are maintained according to factory standards. There are vehicles available from the Polaris, Honda, Canam, and Kawasaki brands.

Best of all, when you rent a vehicle from this campsite, you get a complimentary all-day trail pass for each passenger for no extra charge! This can definitely come in handy because paying entry fees for everyone can add up quickly.

The rental prices are listed below. Most of these are available for bundle deals for 1, 3, or 7 days. The Polaris Sportsman is for experienced riders only and it has a flat-rate price that doesn’t vary by the day.

ATV campground amenities

The Twin Branch Resort is perfectly located for an ATV campground. It is right in the center of the Hatfield-McCoy trail systems, so visitors will have access to a huge variety of adventure destinations. Hatfield-McCoy trails are famous for their beautiful scenery, tourist stops, and rustic setting. There are 9 major trail clusters to choose from, so you’ll always have a new area to explore.

These trails have been a major destination for outdoor lovers, and there’s so much to see! You may need to make multiple trips to even scratch the surface. A centrally-located campground like the Twin Branch Resort is a must for anyone who wants to explore this area as much as possible.

Cabins

As mentioned above, this resort also offers a variety of lodging options. Visitors can camp in tents, RVs, or cabins. There really is something for everyone here!

The cabins are 2-room structures that include heating and air conditioning. There is a full kitchen provided in each one, as well as utensils and cooking appliances so you can make delicious meals away from home! Pets are welcome in these cabins as well, so you won’t need to worry about making other accommodations for your furry friend.

The cabins also include a variety of amenities and luxuries including:

  • A picnic table
  • Charcoal grill
  • Lighted porch + chairs
  • 1 queen bed, 2 large twins, and 1 fold-out
  • Memory foam mattresses on all beds
  • Fresh, hypoallergenic linens

RV sites

There are also wonderful accommodations for RV campers. Each of the sites have 60 amp service and a water hookup. A picnic table and charcoal grill are also included in these campsites. RVs that are up to 45 feet long can fit into these sites and the parking has a back-in layout.

RVers have full access to the resort amenities like the bathhouse, towels, and any necessary toiletries. Of course, all campers are free to bring their own ATVs or rent them from the park as well.

For people who prefer a more traditional camping experience, the Twin Branch Resort can provide that as well! In addition to the cabins and RV sites, there are several primitive tent sites that are available to rent. Each site has a 10×10 pad for a tent as well as a fire pit. When you stay in one of these sites, you can also enjoy access to the bathhouse, surrounding trails, and ATV rentals.

All of the campsites in this ATV campground are spaced out around a beautiful scenic lake. This lake covers 6 acres and it can be great for swimming and fishing. Even if you don’t want to get wet, this is a lovely feature that adds to the experience of camping here.

The natural beauty of this area has made it a perfect choice for all outdoor lovers. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Anyone who loves camping and ATVs should keep this resort on their list!
