The Gadget Guru Takes On Airstream Touring Coaches

In the way that only a renowned reporter and journalist can, Andy Pargh, aka the Gadget Guru, is taking on Airstream. Instead of a muckraking exposé, however, Andy has taken his honest, award-winning journalistic style to do a four-part series of videos and interviews on the line of Airstream Touring Coaches.

Andy, a fixture on the Today Show in the 1990s and an RVIA Journalist of the Year recipient in 1997, is no stranger to the RV industry or the camera. You’ll find several RV related reviews and instructional videos on his website, TheGadgetGuru.com

What is an Airstream?

If you thought Airstreams were only iconic silver travel trailers you pulled behind you, then look again. The latest trend in campers and motorhomes are the van-based Class B campers. Airstream has upped the ante with their line of Touring Coaches. Andy begins a new series of videos focusing exclusively on the full line of these Airstream Touring Coaches based on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis.

What is a Sprinter RV?

In the first video, the Gadget Guru interviews Justin Humphreys, the Vice President of Sales of Airstream, Inc. Together, Andy and Justin discuss topics like the effect of the Pandemic on Airstream Sales & Service, who buys a touring coach, and what it’s like to drive a Class B motorhome.

Airstream For Sale – What You Should Know

In the second video of the series, Andy takes on topics you need to know when you are shopping or your Airstream Interstate, or Airstream Atlas. In this video you’ll learn about:

  • Airstream’s solution to dumping the tanks.
  • Is a Class B camper a good choice for a 1st-time buyer?
  • The importance of checklists.
  • Information about service intervals, factory warranty, roadside service, & more.

Airstream Camper vs Airstream Trailer

Throughout the series, you’ll learn more about Airstream Touring Coaches. The age-old decision of motorhome versus travel trailer gets even more difficult as high-quality motorhomes like the Airstream Interstate and Atlas reach the market.

Do you choose the infamous silver Airstream Trailer and deal with choosing a truck and all the nuances that go along with towing? Or do you choose a Class B camper van like an Airstream Interstate or Atlas?

You can find the complete series on the web at GadgetGuru.com/Airstream or on YouTube at YouTube.com/TheGadgetGuru. After you’ve chosen your new Airstream, visit RV LIFE Campgrounds to find a campground and find your trip planning apps at RV Life.
