Because 3 bedrooms occupy a lot of space in a floor plan, the motorhomes that host multiple rooms need to be quite large. After all, they still need to fit a kitchen, a bathroom or two, and a place for the drivers to sit. Because of these space needs, almost every 3 bedroom motorhome will be a Class A (the largest and most expensive type of motorhome).

This is quite a bit smaller than the Berkshire model, but it still provides everything you need with a shower, toilet, sink, and storage cabinets.
A pair of twin bunk beds sit in a nook just outside the master bedroom. A second bathroom is just across from these bunks and contains a bathtub/shower, sink, toilet, and more storage cabinets. I’m sorry but bunk beds, bed over captains chairs, foldout couches, do not constitute “bedrooms”. Heck my 31ft Newmar Baystar Sport has queen bed (in the only bedroom), bunk beds, and a Jackknife sofa. No way is it 3 bedrooms.

Oh my gosh. With a 45′ Class A you would think that Berkshire would have a better floor plan. The refrigerator door opens up into the face of the poor person sitting in the Captain’s chair. It doesn’t even look like there is room for their legs. Tell me it just looks this way in the floor plan and in the video.
The Thor has zero counter space around the sink, even with the lift up addition. There is no room around the stove either. We travel with 9 people and the kitchen needs counter space for plates and pots. I keep thinking I may move up to a bigger Class A but it looks like I’m staying with my Tiffin.

Our family of 6 (3 daughters and a son) had the same problem. Luckily we already owned a 1 ton truck so we bought a dutchman voltage toy hauler. Rear bedroom with 2 queen bunks for the girls with a powder bath for the kids and a queen loft for our son. Of course there is a private master suite in the front with a full bath. My wife and I were both surprised with the overall build quality and trim. For someone who’s not intimidated by a trailer these are great, spacious options with a lot of dual purpose areas when we don’t have the children with us on an excursion.
