Overview

The Jay Feather Micro is built for explorers who want to travel anywhere and everywhere. Each travel trailer is equipped with a pair of sturdy off-road tires, so you can easily travel across rugged roads. They also have large awnings and outdoor kitchens, so you can easily grill at any campsite. Outdoor cooking is an important part of camping for many people, and these trailers make it quick and convenient.

The various floor plan designs vary slightly in length and weight, but each trailer weighs between 3,775–4,575 lbs. They are also roughly 20 feet long, so you can easily haul them without adding too much length to your travel setup.

Despite the compact size, these campers can fit a lot of people! Some models can accommodate up to eight passengers, so you can easily camp with large groups.

Jayco has a wide selection of RVs, ranging from massive Class A motorhomes to tiny travel trailers like this one. The new Jay Feather Micro lineup was created for adventurous individuals and groups who needed a way to upgrade their camping experience. They’re also quite affordable, with prices starting as low as $35,993.

Floor plans

The 2023 Jay Feather Micro lineup includes four distinct floor plans. Each one has a unique design and layout. Some even include slideouts to expand the space, while others are more streamlined and compact. Some models have been designed for individuals/couples, while others are better suited for large groups.

Check out all the options so you can identify the floor plan that would work best for you!

The first layout on the list is also the smallest and most compact. But it still has plenty of room for sleeping space, storage, and the necessary amenities.

A full-sized bed sits at the front of the camper. There’s storage space at the head of the bed and in a large overhead cabinet.

A jack-knife sofa occupies the slideout, and it has a pair of revolving tables on each end. This means it can double as a dinette or a workstation. The sofa faces an entertainment center and a compact kitchenette.

Finally, the rear of this trailer is split between a corner bathroom on one side and a spacious refrigerator and pantry on the other. There’s also an additional exterior refrigerator, so you can easily access food while you’re cooking outdoors. Check out more details of this floor plan here.

Each bunk bed measures 26 inches by 74 inches, and they’re tucked into a cozy nook. This way, parents and children can enjoy their own separate sleeping areas with a bit of space in the middle. The bathroom sits at the rear of the vehicle and contains a bathtub/shower, a toilet, a sink/vanity, and a mirrored medicine cabinet.

With this setup, everyone can stay refreshed and well-rested, no matter where you travel. To learn more about the 171BH trailer, visit Jayco’s website here.

Last on the list, we have the largest and heaviest model in the Jay Feather Micro lineup. But it can also fit the largest number of people, so the trade-off is often well worth the money! It’s rare to be able to fit eight people into a vehicle of this size, but Jayco found a way to pull it off. It combines many of the design choices of the earlier models into a totally unique layout.

For starters, the front of the vehicle includes a sofa than can expand into a Murphy bed. This faces the kitchen and dining room combination, which is expanded due to a single slideout that contains the dinette.

The rear of the trailer is split between a corner bathroom and a pair of full-size bunk beds. Each bunk can comfortably accommodate two people, which makes this trailer the best choice for large groups. An additional refrigerator is also included for outdoor cooking. 1. Unfortunately, it’s a Jayco. As many owners have discovered, Jayco falls extremely short when it comes to service after the sale. They give wonderful lip-service but when it comes to durability, value for the money spent, and quality, you’d be better off tent camping. After all, the coach you wasted your money on is going to spend most of it’s lifespan in a shop…hold on to that old tent.
