Fleetwood RV Introduces The 2023 Frontier GTX Motorhome
The 2023 models are rolling out in earnest now! Fleetwood RV recently introduced one of their best motorhome designs ever with the new 2023 Frontier GTX. This is a large Class A motorhome that currently has two different floor plans to choose from.
This powerful motorhome is built on a Freightliner® custom chassis, and it has a Cummins 6.7L diesel engine. It’s a motorhome you can count on to get you up those steep hills! In addition, the interior has been carefully crafted with travelers in mind. You’ll have a comfortable and luxurious experience when you travel in a 2023 Frontier GTX.
Vehicle specs
There’s a lot to love about the new Frontier GTX models. They’re pretty large, so they can fit all the appliances and amenities that you could ask for. If you’re shopping for a new model, you may want to compare relevant specs. Below are a few important details about the 2023 Frontier, but more information is available on fleetwoodrv.com.
- Exterior length: 37 feet, 11 inches – 40 feet, 3 inches
- Exterior width: 102 inches
- Exterior height: 12 feet, 10 inches
- GVWR: 33,400 lbs
- Fresh water capacity: 100 gallons
Note: The exterior length is presented as a range because there are two different models of the 2023 Frontier GTX. The lower number refers to the 37RT floor plan, while the higher number refers to the 39TA.
Although there is a slight size difference between these models, many of the features and amenities are the same. These motorhomes are equipped with several standard features, but there are also optional add-ons and upgrades that customers can choose. We’ll discuss a few of these in the sections below.
The new floor plans
Another exciting thing about the 2023 Frontier GTX is that it comes in two different floor plans. The 37RT is a bit smaller than the 39TA, but they’re both large and comfortable designs. Although they have a lot of the same amenities and features, the layouts are quite different from one another. Be sure to check out both options because one may suit your needs better than the other.
37RT
In the space behind the driver’s cab, this model has a queen-sized sofa bed on one wall and a booth-style dinette on the other wall. An entertainment center also sits above the dinette, so those on the sofa can watch easily.
The kitchen setup is on the same wall as the dinette. Everything is located side by side, so you’ll have easy access to the refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink, pantry, and cabinets. A full bathroom sits across from the kitchen. There’s enough room for a toilet, sink, shower, and a good-sized storage/medicine cabinet.
Finally, the rear of the motorhome houses the main bedroom. This is a large space that is expanded by slideouts on both walls. There’s a king-sized bed, an LED TV, and lots of overhead storage space. This room also connects to a huge walk-in closet that has room for anything you need!
39TA
The 39TA is a bit longer than its counterpart, but it only has two slideouts instead of three. These slideouts are mainly used to make room for bulky items that would otherwise get in the way. For instance, in the space behind the driver’s cab, one slideout houses a two-person sofa and a residential-style refrigerator. This sits across from a dinette with removable chairs.
An L-shaped kitchen completes the main living space. This design grants more usable countertop space and helps separate the living room from the rest of the floor plan. There’s enough room for a kitchen sink, microwave, stove, and plenty of storage cabinets.
There’s also a bathroom that sits between the main bedroom and the living room. There are two entrances, so everyone in the vehicle has easy access to this room. It has a toilet, sink, and a shower that occupies one corner. A couple of storage cabinets line the walls in here too.
The bedroom sits at the rear of this vehicle. There’s a queen-sized bed that sits against the back wall. The way it’s positioned leaves plenty of room along the sides and foot of the bed, so it’s easy to navigate this room. A slideout contains a large closet, so you can bring your whole wardrobe on the road with you.
Finally, a sliding door leads to a private bathroom at the back of the motorhome. It’s only a half bath, but there’s plenty of room for a toilet, sink, large storage closet, and some smaller cabinets. Residents of the main bedroom will enjoy this private space to relax and rejuvenate.
Decoration options
There are also several different styles and color schemes you can choose when you purchase a 2023 Frontier GTX. There are different cabinetry colors, exterior patterns, and design schemes.
For cabinetry, you can choose between:
- English Chestnut: A light and warm-toned wood
- Greystone: A dark brown wood with visible grain
- Heritage: A clean white finish
- Winter Fog: A slightly darker, off-white wood
The exterior options are fairly similar in terms of pattern and color scheme. In general, these vehicles have a dark gray base with some splashes of white, black, and gray. The accent colors are either red or blue.
The interior decor comes in three different options: Cadet, Coventry, and Sandcastle. Each theme has different furniture colors, fabric types, accent colors, and backsplash designs. Let’s dive into a brief overview of each theme!
- Cadet: The main color scheme of Cadet is light gray and blue. Leather furniture is covered in a light gray leather, while the countertops have a marbled design. The flooring is dark gray and speckled. The backsplash is made from elongated and interlocking hexagons. These are dark blue in color and slightly shiny.
- Coventry: Coventry is a slightly darker color scheme that comprises various shades of gray and beige. The flooring is made with light tan wood panels with swirling grain. Sofas are covered in dark gray leather, while the accent design features gray and white plaid. The bedding is beige and features chevrons, while the backsplash is made of uniform, dark gray hexagons.
- Sandcastle: Sandcastle is a lighter, more neutral design that features warm tones of brown and beige. The flooring is similar to Coventry, and the backsplash has the same shape and design. However, the backsplash in this theme is light brown instead of gray.
Additional features
One of the best parts of the 2023 Frontier GTX is the massive storage space underneath the vehicle. Class A RVs are great because they have plenty of room for storage. This model is exceptional and has storage along the entire base. There is also full pass-through storage, so you don’t need to worry about fitting large items into small compartments.
The 37RT floor plan also has a fireplace, which is perfect for warming up after a long, cold day. You can also stay cool with help from the three A/C units (each one is 15,000 BTU). All 2023 Frontier GTX models come with at least one TV, and some even have two or more.
