South Padre Island, Texas KOA

Snow is a fluke in exciting South Padre Island. In 44 years, snow has fallen three times. Campers preferring island life are attracted to South Padre Island.

RV and Camper Accessibility: At South Padre, There are 98’ foot pull-thru sites.  Getting around with your camper or RV is no problem.

Amenities: South Padre also offers, as shown on their amenities page, activities for children, such as crafts and outdoor movies in the evening. Adults enjoy a free shuttle to the beach and across the bridge to Port Isabel.

Things to Do Nearby: My favorite activity at South Padre Island is sand castle building.  Apparently, the gulf coast has some of the best sand in the world for sand castles.  And there’s no one better to teach you than Sandy Feet.  Under her instruction, and in about 2 hours, we made an amazing sand castle on the beach.  Other tourists were so impressed they thought we were pros…  Our South Padre Island vacation is still a family favorite because of Sandy Feet and her sand castle class.

Nearby at Pier 19 restaurant (which is literally on the pier) watch the dolphins frolic while you enjoy a hearty Texas meal.  Step outside and look out at the beautiful ocean scenery. For variety, you can reserve Osprey cruises for fishing.
