1. Dockweiler Beach RV Park
Dockweiler Beach RV Park is actually the only RV Park in LA county! The next closest ones lie closer to Malibu. Here RV sites sit close together in a parking lot fashion.
While this may feel crowded to some campers, the location of the park makes up for it! And you may even make some new friends out of your neighbors!

Sites here go quick and fast because of how close they are to the beach and ocean. The lots closer to the beach tend to cost slightly extra and go a little bit faster.
As one can tell from this map of the layout of the campground, there are no tent spaces in Dockweiler. It is a strictly RV and trailer campground only.

2. Campland on the Bay
Campland on the Bay is a campground located on (you guessed it!) the Bay of San Diego. This is a great fun place to take your family and make some memories! It is a well-kept campground with many amenities and perks!
This park has been a staple attraction in Mission Bay, drawing in families since 1969! This location is absolutely unbeatable!
It’s so close to Sea World that you can see the firework show at night from the campground. Because of the location and the great experiences families have, many return year after year making friends with the fellow usuals.

3. Redwood National and State Parks – Gold Bluffs Beach Campground
This park is known for its incredibly tall trees. In fact, this is the home of the tallest trees on earth. Along with these trees, this park is home to river ways, extensive woods, and 40 miles of coastline. With these diverse types of nature residing in these parks, there are endless adventures to be had!
The Redwood National and State Parks sit right on the coast near the top of California near the Oregon border. It is the perfect place to be able to camp on the coast in your own reclusive haven.
There are four developed campgrounds and seven backcountry sites that you can camp at. But, when camping here you must stay at one of these eleven sites as “free camping” is not allowed.
There are seven backcountry sites if you’re looking for a more rustic experience. There is Little Bald Hills Camp, Nickel Creek Cap, DeMartin Camp, Flint Ridge, Gold Bluffs Beach Campground (1 site), Elam Camp, 44 Camp, and Redwood Creek. We won’t go into too much depth with these as most of them are not located on the beach and a lot of them do not welcome RV’s.
Out of all the sites at the Redwood Parks, there is only really one that lies on the beach, and that is one of the developed parks.
The four developed parks are called Jedediah Smith Campground, Mill Creek Campground, Elk Prairie Campground, and Gold Bluffs Beach Campground. I bet you can guess which one is on the beach!
Gold Bluffs Beach Campground
Gold Bluffs Beach Campground is a great place to explore the west coast beach in a quiet and secluded beach. There are many grazing Roosevelt elk in Gold Bluffs, Fern Canyon is nearby, 70 incredible miles of hiking and biking trails, and best of all, easy access to a secluded section of beach.

Jalama Beach County Park is a park right on the coast in Santa Barbara County. It is nice and more reclusive than some of the other crowded and hectic ocean-side but still isn’t completely cut off from luxury and convenience.
There are many possible adventures to have at Jalama Beach! Many people surf, fish, or animal-watch. Its 23.5 acres of pure fun and adventure.

Malibu Beach RV Park is the only RV park in the City of Malibu. It is one of a kind! Because Malibu is such a hot spot for tourist attraction, the RV Park is quite a popular place!
Each of their 177 sites has a mountain or ocean view and is open all year! And thank goodness it’s open all year, that way you have more chances of experiencing all the fun! There are so many fun things to do!

Tillicum Beach Campground is quite popular among tourists because of its unique location, view, and reclusiveness. It’s a beautiful place where people can relax and get back to their roots right next to the soothing ocean. When not busy relaxing, campers love to fish, swim, play in the sand, and watch the magnificent sunrises and sunsets.
Many campers will also visit Cape Perpetua which is 6 miles south of the campground. There you can explore Sitka spruce, experience the crashing waves, explore tide pools, whale watch or take a hike with a tour guide.
Waldport, which is 4 miles north of Tillicum offers easy access to fishing, crabbing, and shrimping. As you can tell, there is something for everyone at this campground.
One thing to note, most of the sites are on the waterfront, but none of the sites with hookups are right next to the water for obvious reasons. But you really can’t beat the view and the price of Tullicum Beach Campground.

Bullards Beach is a park which is family-oriented and great for meetings large and small. A big part of the park is their accessibility for equestrian purposes.
