For a much smaller and more home-like park, you can stop by the Little Pine Cabins & RV Park. With 25 RV sites with full hookups available, you will be able to enjoy the outside world without feeling like you are in one of those overcrowded outdoor locations which more populated parks can feel like at times.
The park rests near the entrance to McGee Creek Lake, which is known for its smallmouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, and flatheads. With 200 available RV sites and 30 full hookup sites, restrooms, and some rustic tenting campsites you have plenty of options for how an where you would like to rest at Lake Thunderbird State Park.
Among other amenities, the features of playgrounds, picnic tables, and an archery range are fully available to the park occupants.
The Lake Thunderbird State Park Discovery Cove Nature Center and equestrian trails are located in the nearby Clear Bay area. These trails cover four miles and feature 12 obstacles. Negative Coggins papers are required, and no on-site stable are available so you will need to come prepared to take care of your own horses.
Hunting and catching waterfowl hunting are available in designated areas during the applicable seasons so prepare yourself for some good hunting during those seasons.

A short drive to the southwest of Hobart on the shores of Lake Altrus-Lugert is the Quartz Mountain Nature Park. You’ll have a great time as you get everyday chalked full of nature with the possible activities.
With the available 119 RV sites, you have the option of living in a rustic environment or having a full hookup provided for you. No matter what time of year you stop by there are things to do here.
In the winter (January through February) you have eagle watching that commences. Go and watch these majestic birds soar as you see just why they are seen as such powerful birds of prey.
But that’s not all. The 400 acres of land that encompass the park has a load of attractions including rock climbing, hiking, and an amusement park. #10. Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge & Visitors Center

Spanning over 59,000 acres of majesty, the animals roam free, with free-range buffalo, Texas Longhorn cattle, prairie dogs, elk, and deer encompassing the landscape. Get your cameras ready for the amazing view that you can get from this landscape!
You’ll have opportunities to mountain bike, rock climb, rappel, hike, camp, have picnics and fish. The available visitor center features wildlife exhibits and focuses on the habitats available in the Witchita Mountains.
Throughout the year, guests can schedule nature and wildlife tours that depart from the headquarters office on foot or by bus, or a combination of both travel methods.
Hiking the trails provide a fun challenge that includes bouldering at the Charon’s Garden Wilderness Area, which holds two miles of rugged and rocky landscape. The trails vary in difficulty though allowing you to challenge yourself or ease into the travel experience.

Is Oklahoma a popular place to go RV camping? Oklahoma has wide-open fields, lots of gorgeous nature, and many places (like the ones listed above) available for RV camping.
